(HC 4/7/11) Approximately 20 acres of land were recently acquired in north Haltom City, just south of Western Center Boulevard and west of Denton Highway. The land, which was purchased with combined funds from the Haltom City Economic Development Corporation and state grants, will be used for park development. Plans for the park development include a new sprayground, playground equipment, picnic pavilion, hike and bike trails and a nature trail. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
