Civil Service Commission
Purpose – To direct and administer the civil service ordinance and conduct hearings fairly and impartially and render a fair and just decision considering only the evidence presented. Powers and duties are stipulated by the provision of the State Civil Service Act in administering state regulations pertaining to personnel matters of the fire and police depts. Appt by the mayor.
