Under the office of the Assistant City Manager, the Animal Services Division enforces City ordinances concerning domestic pets and livestock and responds to citizen concerns. Animal Services has three civilian Officers and one Kennel Technician under a civilian supervisor. All officers hold multiple certifications in animal care.

The Kennel Technician is responsible for cleaning the shelter and caring for the sheltered animals. The shelter has 36 dog kennels and 33 cat kennels.

Voluntary pet registration is now availlable to residents. Register online or download a PDF and mail it in or drop it off at the shelter.
